Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon has bravely opened up about her struggles to breastfeed.

The former X Factor star, 32, welcomed her first baby girl with EastEnders actor Joe Swash, 39, at their home, Pickle Cottage, on October 4.

No stranger to sharing the ups and downs of motherhood with her 4.7million followers, Stacey took to Instagram to share that she’s been seeking help from breastfeeding experts.

Now mum-of-four Stacey has explained she had trouble breastfeeding when two-year-old Rex was born, and she’s feeling ‘sad’ to be experiencing the same issues with her daughter.

Sharing a sweet snap of Rex smiling and holding some flowers for his mum and little sister, who is wrapped in a blanket, Stacey got candid about the struggles of being a new mum.

‘I’m struggling again with feeding this time around so spending all of my energy trying to feed, eat and rest,’ she wrote.

‘Also seeing local breastfeeding specialists and the community midwives who have been incredible so hoping for a more positive journey in the end this time but not putting pressure on myself.

‘Even though it makes me a bit sad, whatever will be will be.’

The TV favourite also thanked her fans for their support during her toughest moments, sharing one DM in particular that read: ‘I just wanted to say, I know these days can be the hard ones. Keep going. You’re doing amazing mummy.’

Stacey gushed: ‘Your messages are just everything, especially on these days when the milk is coming in and the oxytocin is on its way out.’

This isn’t the first time Stacey has spoken publicly about the pressures of motherhood.

In 2019, she said she felt like a ‘failure’ for being unable to feed newborn Rex.

She said at the time: ‘Breastfeeding never happened for me the way that I imagined. I did my best to try and master it, but it wasn’t to be.’

Meanwhile, Stacey and Joe’s little bundle of joy remains nameless as the couple soak up every possible moment they can spend with the tot.

Stacey – who also has sons, Zach, 13, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships – even asked her Instagram followers for name ideas, saying her ‘mind is completely blank.’
