Bridesmaids’ Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo star in chaotic Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar trailer as they team up with Jamie Dornan

The creators of Bridemaids, Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, have teamed up with a stellar cast and executive producer Will Ferrell for bizarre new flick Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.

The trailer has dropped, and it’s safe to say it gives absolutely nothing away.

Beginning with a young boy having a sing-along as he jams to his music on his paper round, we’re greeted by Barb (Annie) and Star’s (Kristen) foreheads as they imagine their movie trailer.

‘I wouldn’t wanna give anything away about the movie,’ Star says, with Barb adding: ‘Me neither. Especially our faces.’

We’re then treated to a sunny view of Vista Del Mar, as Barb and Star enjoy a holiday, with stars like Jamie Dornan, who plays Edgar, New Girl’s Damon Wayans Jr, and Kwame Patterson popping up in the colourful teaser.

There’s a hint of mischief as Reyn Doi’s Yoyo hits a button labelled ‘Lair’, suggesting there’s an evil plot at play.

In the grand scheme of things, we have no idea what’s going on but we’re into it.

A synopsis for the movie simply reads: ‘Lifelong friends Barb and Star embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time…ever.

‘Romance, friendship and a villain’s evil plot.’

Consider us intrigued.

Kristen and Annie previously teamed up for their iconic rom-com Bridesmaids, which starred the likes of Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper, Rebel Wilson, and Chris O’Dowd.

Elsewhere, Kristen has just starred in Wonder Woman 1984 alongside Gal Gadot and, late last year, returned to Saturday Night Live to host the comedy show after being a regular cast member from 2005 to 2012.

Basically, she’s smashing it and we’re so ready for the chaos of Barb and Star.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar is coming soon.
