Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway ‘hit with 104 Ofcom complaints’ after Gordon Ramsay insults guest’s teeth

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway has reportedly been hit with 104 Ofcom complaints after Gordon Ramsay insulted a guest’s teeth on last week’s show.

According to The Sun, 68 of those complaints came as a result of Gordon’s ‘savage’ remark, which saw him mock guest Lorna’s teeth during the Read My Lips game.

During the section of the show, he was tasked with helping members of the public win big prizes by trying to guess what the callers were saying through lip reading.

While playing, Gordon remarked that he found it difficult to understand Lorna because of her teeth.

‘I can’t… It’s the gap in the teeth, I can’t understand what she’s saying,’ Gordon said.

Presenters Ant and Dec laughed at the comment at the time, but a number of viewers called Gordon’s comment ‘rude’ on social media, with one person stating: ‘The gap in her teeth put him off. Outrageous.’

In the same episode, Ant and Dec were forced to issue an apology after Gordon appeared to swear during the same game.

Gordon had to try and say the right answer as the first contestant said the word ‘pizza’… but one of his guesses appeared to sound like a swear word beginning with the same letter.

After the player won £250, Ant turned to the camera and said: ‘I do have to apologise for your language halfway through that.’

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway airs at 7pm on Saturdays on ITV.
