Jenna Ortega has speculated on what role Lady Gaga would play in Wednesday season 2 if she joins the group… and we can’t wait to find out whether it’s ever a possibility.
The 20-year-old was among the nominees who attended the 2023 Golden Globes at The Beverly Hilton last night, where she was defeated in her category by Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary.
In her airy Gucci gown, the actor looked nothing like Wednesday Addams, her hair fashioned with beautiful flicks and accessorised with elegant silver jewellery.
Jenna was asked on the red carpet what she thought of the possibility of Lady Gaga appearing in the Addams Family spin-off, following the announcement that it has been officially renewed for season 2 on Netflix.
Following the release of the first season, Jenna choreographed Wednesday’s solo routine at the Rave’N school dance, which went popular on social media, generating a viral TikTok craze that even Lady Gaga got involved in, singing it to her own 2011 tune Bloody Mary.
When asked about the possibility of the 36-year-old joining the cast of the programme, Jenna joked, ‘I’m sure Netflix would love it.’

She then hypothesised to Variety about the type of role Lady Gaga could play, referring to Christina Ricci’s character, Ms Thornhill.
‘Ooh I’m not sure. I feel like, I don’t know… I think Ms Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird kind of mentor relationship, or kind of understood each other in a certain way,’ she explained.
‘So if Lady Gaga were to be a part I think there would have to be two monsters that understand each other.’
Jenna also shared an unexpected connection she has with Lady Gaga, which stretches back years before she became a global icon for Wednesday and other productions like as You and Scream.
‘A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser who used to work with her, and I had just seen Lady Gaga in concert in Boston a couple of years before, and she had made me a video saying, “Oh hey Jenna, I heard you’re a fan.” It was a really, really sweet video,’ she recalled.
‘I doubt she even remembers or has any idea who I was back then, but to see her do [the viral Wednesday dance] now, it was kind of one of those moments that you acknowledge is, life changes really, really fast and it’s really crazy.’
Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
