Michael Buble has stated that one of the reasons he enjoys living in the United Kingdom is that he is not required to be politically right.
The Canadian vocalist now resides in British Columbia, but she was born in Croydon.
Michael, 47, allegedly paid £3 million for his home in Purley in 2011.
He spent some time there with his now-wife, Luisana Lopilato, with whom he has four children.
Now, he’s revealed that there’s an intriguing reason he feels so at home here, and why he enjoys returning to the nation each time.
‘You’re my people. I get to be this, me. I don’t have to pretend,’ he said.
‘I don’t have to be careful or politically correct.

‘You guys are amazing,’ he added when appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs this weekend.
After Michael’s remarks, fellow guest Ed Sheeran jokingly warned him that he should be mindful of what he said just in case.
Michael also mentioned some other nations where he enjoyed performing on the programme.
‘I love Germany. I love the Germans. They’re hilarious. They’re funny people, they’re dry,’ he explained.
When asked about his special admirers, who have shown their devotion to him by tattooing his visage on their bodies, the performer didn’t seem too bothered.
‘It’s a good feeling, it’s kinda cool when someone wants to put you on their skin forever,’ he said.
However, when asked which artist he would contemplate tattooing on himself, he named Lewis Capaldi.
It’s a remark that the Scottish performer might appreciate after the pair participated in some friendly competition over the holidays after Lewis stated that he had a “gripe to grind.”
Lewis said he required a chat with Michael after his version of It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas stayed solidly above Lewis’ song, Pointless, in the Christmas rankings.
However, shortly after, Michael stated that he had added the song to his own collection and that Christmas should be ‘cancelled’ if Lewis did not reach number one.
The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday at 9.40pm on ITV.
