Peaky Blinders series 6: Tensions fly in new set pictures as Michael Gray explodes and Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby returns

Peaky Blinders series six looks nothing short of dramatic if new on-set pictures are anything to go by.

Filming on the upcoming final chapter of the acclaimed drama kicked off last month, with the BBC sadly confirming that the season would be the last.

Fresh photos from the ground tease that the show will be going out with a bang as Michael Gray (Finn Cole) exploded in tense scenes.

Meanwhile, Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby appeared to be keeping cool, calm and collected while shooting scenes in the snow in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

In one snap, Michael is being restrained by prison guards as he points and screams.

Another showed Cillian as he reprised his legendary role of Tommy and he was dressed to the nines in his typical flat cap and three-piece suit, with an overcoat and scarf for extra heat.

In-between takes, Cillian wrapped up warm with a huge fleece-lined jacket as he braced the freezing cold temperatures at Portsoy Harbour.

Spilling the beans on what fans can expect now the gang are ‘back in business’, creator and writer Steven Knight previously said: ‘Peaky is back and with a bang.

‘After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher.

‘We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it.

‘While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.’

Peaky Blinders is available to stream on BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
