Rylan Clark has called out TV stars who have two personalities.
Rylan has presented many television programmes since debuting on The X Factor in 2012, including Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, Up Late with Rylan, and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
Since 2013, he has also been on This Morning, where he has worked with Ruth Langsford, Eamonn Holmes, Holly Willoughby, and Phillip Schofield.
He’s also helping to host the Eurovision Song Contest, which is now taking place in Liverpool.
However, he has recently stated that certain prominent faces he has previously worked with may not have the personalities they present in front of the cameras.
‘People can see through it all now. People can see who are the real ones and can very much see who isn’t,’ he said in an interview with Waitrose & Partners’ Weekend, as reeported by The Sun.
‘I’ve been in this industry for nearly 11 years, and all I’ve ever been is nice and polite to people.’
He added: ‘And that’s starting to pay off for me now, because there are people in this industry who aren’t like that. They think they’re something special. And the walls are starting to fall.’
His cryptic statements don’t reveal who he’s referring to, but Rylan has recently started revealing his views and sentiments on personal subjects.
He revealed this week the circumstances of his mental health collapse following his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021.
Rylan revealed that he needed medical care after the couple split because he was ‘a threat to myself’ after confessing he had been unfaithful at the beginning of their relationship.
The actor spoke out to Elizabeth Day on her How to Fail podcast, assuring her that he was repairing his life after hitting “rock bottom.”
Admitting the divorce ‘pretty much nearly did kill me’, Rylan also said it was ‘extremely traumatic’.
However, he said it made him ‘so much stronger’ and the trials made him the person he was now.
