Tasha Ghouri came dangerously close to sharing the screen with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the new Barbie picture.
Greta Gerwig, 39, of Little Women fame, will helm the highly anticipated live-action film about the lives of Mattel dolls, which will be released later this year.
While story specifics are being kept under wraps, the all-star ensemble has been unveiled, with a teaser showing Barbie (Robbie) travelling into the’real world’ with her lover Ken (Gosling).
Along with the Babylon actress, 32, and Ryan, 42, other cast members include (deep inhale) Nicola Coughlan, John Cena, Ncuti Gatwa, Helen Mirren, and Will Ferrell.
And if it hadn’t been for a certain annoying ITV dating show, there might have been one more member added to the ensemble.
Tasha, 23, who made history as Love Island‘s first deaf candidate, auditioned for a role as a performer in Barbie but was unable to continue.
Instead, the model committed to last year’s Love Island, revealing that her stay in the island conflicted with the filming of Barbie.
She wrote on Twitter: ‘Fun fact I got to the final round of the Barbie film audition as a dancer but didn’t get the job – filming was at same time as LI [Love Island], crazy how the universe works.’
Tasha and her boyfriend made the finals of Love Island and finished fourth, with Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sancliment eventually crowned winners.

Earlier this week, it was disclosed that Dua Lipa, who will also play a Mermaid Barbie in the picture, will write the theme song.
Other ensemble members include Ana Cruz Kayne as Supreme Court Justice Barbie, Emerald Fennell from The Crown as Barbie’s closest friend Midge, and Scott Evans as a cowboy hat-wearing Ken.
Michael Cera will play Ken’s buddy Allan, Issa Rae will play President Barbie, and Emma Mackey from Sex Education will play a Barbie with a Nobel Prize in Physics.
The film will be shown on July 21, and a trailer unveiled in December featured a comedic parody of the iconic science-fiction blockbuster 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Barbie, which debuted in 1959, has previously inspired cartoon versions such as The Nutcracker, Rapunzel, and Swan Lake.
