This Morning’s Alice Beer warns dust mites and droppings lurk in dirty pillows in grim revelation

This Morning’s Alice Beer delivered a pretty gruesome fact about dirty pillows on today’s show – and we can guarantee it’ll have you chucking yours in the washing machine immediately.

The presenter joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for a segment on the best range of tried and tested pillows.

‘Nano is the sleep specialist and they have said that 41% of people have never washed their pillow,’ Alice disclosed.

‘Can I tell you that 10% of a two-year-old pillow, if you don’t wash it, is made up of dust mites and their droppings.’

‘Oh God,’ cringed Holly. ‘That is so disgusting.’

‘You have to wash your pillows,’ Alice urged. ‘It is disgusting not to.’

Viewers were equally disgusted by the revelation, with one writing: ‘Omg I feel sick’, while another simply shared a gif of a cartoon throwing up.

Elsewhere on today’s show, Holly and Phil grilled experts about Denmark’s penis cartoon aimed at children.

The controversial kids show about a man with the world’s longest penis first aired earlier this month and sparked backlash from parents for ‘sending out the wrong message’.

Speaking about the topic, Holly and Phillip questioned the experts who specialise on children’s use of media, on whether the cartoon is a ‘step too far’.

‘I am just wondering what questions will be asked when they see something like this?’ Holly asked.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
