As if Love Island 2023 couldn’t be any more dramatic, Casa Amor has already upended the show’s dynamic – and a Stick or Twist bombshell episode on the way promises even more shenanigans.
This year, it’s the girls’ chance to go to the notorious second villa, where they were introduced to six new males in the hopes of luring them away from their present partners and earning Islander status.
The males they left behind will not be lonely, as six new girls will be introduced shortly after to keep them company.
But, with the addition of twelve more prospective islanders, how long can we expect this new twist to last?
How long is Casa Amor on for?
Love Island executives haven’t said how long the girls will be staying at Casa Amor, but tonight’s episode may foreshadow the need for urgency, as yesterday night’s teaser hinted at some major drama emerging – and heads perhaps turning.
As soon as the girls arrived, they negotiated a deal to keep their ‘girls vacation’ going. ‘When the cats are away, the mice will play,’ they tell themselves.
We’ve already seen Olivia forget Kai’s name while presenting herself to the new males at Casa Amor, and Kai mistake one of the new newcomers for someone he knows.
Back in the Villa, Will Young (not that one) shocked viewers when he appeared to lean in for a kiss with one of the villa’s newest participants.
The part has often lasted three to five days in the past, which means we may have to wait until Friday for the explosive’stick or twist’ battle.
In episode 26 of Love Island series 8, which aired on Friday, July 1, the girls travelled to Casa Amor.
In episode 32 of the programme, which aired six days later, on Thursday, July 7, the girls returned to the main villa (either alone or with their new boyfriends).
The lads visited Casa Amor in episode 29 of season 7, which aired on Monday, July 26 and returned in episode 33, which aired four days later, on Friday, July 30.
Because this season’s Casa Amor began on Sunday, February 13, the girls are expected to return to the villa later in the week, maybe on Friday, February 17.
We’ll simply have to wait and see how things play out.
Love Island airs every night on ITV2 at 9pm, with Love Island: Unseen Bits on Saturdays at 9pm
