Actress Miranda KcKeon has revealed she has started chemotherapy a month after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer at 19.
The Anne With An E star announced the devastating ‘one in a million’ diagnosis in a post shared to Instagram a month ago and has since been keeping her fans up to date with her health.
And shortly after undergoing her first chemotherapy session, Miranda inspirationally told People that she had made it her ‘job to find the beauty in her situation’.
‘I wouldn’t have chosen this, I didn’t choose this, I don’t think anyone would choose this. But I’m making it my job to try and pull something out of this,’ she told the publication.
Elaborating further on her first chemotherapy appointment in an Instagram post last week, Miranda shared a series of pictures of herself dressed in pink.
She explained that there were ‘a few bumps in the road’ as the treatment she had been ‘mentally preparing for’ had been pushed back a day.

However, she explained that her ‘friends surprised me at dinner, surrounded me with love when I felt so broken, and my mental state did a 180’.
She said: ‘Everyone has been telling me it’s gonna be a rollercoaster, but yesterday was the first time I had really felt everything all in one day.’
‘The sensation of being so low and so high at the same time is somewhat inexplicable. I’m overflowing with gratitude and simultaneously feeling gut-wrenching loss as I begin what is going to be a hard few months,’ Miranda added.

The star continued: ‘Regardless, the relief I was longing for with starting treatment has me doing an internal (and external) happy dance. Hoping my upcoming chemo side effects don’t rain on my parade.’
She also informed her followers that she still has seven more rounds of chemotherapy to go as well as surgery and radiation.
Miranda rose to fame as Josie Pye in the Netflix series Anne With An E.
Shortly after the third series premiered in 2019, it was announced that the series had been cancelled.
