Ashley Banjo’s daughter Rose definitely had the best start to 2021, making her dad carry her around like a bag.
The Diversity star shared a video as he took his eldest child, two, for a ‘walk’ in the woods to kick the New Year off in style.
Except the 32-year-old was forced to carry the toddler by clutching on to the front of her outfit.
‘2021 has started with the annual fresh air, fresh mindset walk,’ he captioned the brief clip.
‘But Rose didn’t want to walk… She wanted to be carried… Like this…
‘Well at least her 2021 got off to a great start! Where as I’m sure I’m gonna have to take a visit to the physio for acute wrist injuries.
‘She’s been hitting those Pom bears a bit too frequently over Christmas. Happy New Year people #2021 #dadduties.’
We totally stan Rose’s choices.
Followers found the video hilarious, and flocked to the comments section to praise Ashley’s honest clip.
‘Are you even a parent if you haven’t had to do the under the arm carry,’ an Instagram user replied.
‘We can all relate to this can’t we,’ another suggested.
‘Cracking up xxxx hilarious xxxx bless her xxxx,’ a fan said. ‘Happy new year to amazing family xxxxx.’
As Big Brother star Kate Lawler added: ‘I would love to be carried like this everywhere.’
Ashley had a very successful 2020 after joining the judging panel on Britain’s Got Talent, temporarily replacing Simon Cowell after he broke his back in LA, while on an electric bike.
Viewers loved having the star – who won the ITV show with dance troupe Diversity in 2009 – on the panel, leading to questions on whether he would become a full-time addition.
Addressing the speculation, the dancer explained that he would love to see Simon return to the fold.
‘Absolutely, yeah. It’ll just be nice for him to be back,’ he said. ‘He’s such a powerhouse and I’m so glad he is feeling better now after his accident.
‘At the same time, if he wants me to continue for him, I am more than happy.’
