There was a little ‘trouble’ in paradise during Cardi B and Offset’s romantic Valentine’s Day getaway this weekend. However, all was eventually forgiven and ended in a very expensive Chanel handbag that’s left their followers perplexed.
Offset, 29, has whisked Cardi, 28, off to a mystery exotic location for their weekend of love with their two-year-old daughter Kulture joining them for the trip.
It seems Cardi might have momentarily rubbed her hubby up the wrong way though as she told her followers in one Instagram story: ‘Guys, just know I’m in trouble with Offset,’ while holding her hand up to mouth with a guilty look.
Whatever it was, Offset forgave pretty quickly as they were seen being affectionate with each other in the next clip.
Later in the evening, the couple joined a group of friends for an al fresco dinner where they played drinking games and sang along to music.
Migos rapper Offset wasn’t holding any grudges against his wife as he then presented her with an extravagant gift.
What might at first look like a gold birdcage is actually a luxury Chanel handbag to the tune of $20,500 (£14,800).
Cardi seemed to love the lavish present and shared a video of the pricetag with the caption: ‘Wow Thank you baby @offsetyrn .You always getting me something different .Love & appreciate you.’
The WAP rapper’s followers were completely baffled as to what the birdcage even was as one commented: ‘But WTF is it sis? ????♀️❤️’
Another fan joked: ‘I’m too poor to even know what that is but it’s cute.’
Agreeing with their sentiment, one other weighed in: ‘It’s you carrying ppl salary for me.’
‘Not me thinking birds were finna fly out,’ another fan joked.
One criticised Offset for bragging about the cost and said: ‘He kept the price tag on the gift? Money can’t buy class!! Lol.’
Earlier in the day, Offset treated Cardi to a huge display of red and pink heart balloons which filled their living area.
The couple got married in 2017 and welcomed their first child Kulture the following year. However, Cardi abruptly filed for divorce from Offset last year before calling it off and reconciling.
