David Beckham has promised to get revenge on his wife Victoria after she failed to crop his chunky boots out of their Remembrance Sunday family photo.

The retired footballer couldn’t ignore the mishap after his partner’s followers noticed his questionable footwear, and he compared himself to Beauty And The Beast villain Gaston in a brilliant response.

Revealing that Victoria wasn’t meant to include his feet in the snap, he teased: ‘Revenge will be sweet @victoriabeckham…

‘So my wife decided to post before asking me or cropping my last minute shoe option’.

Fashion icon Victoria didn’t seem too concerned, and she shared the same side by side comparison on her own Instagram Story and mocked her man.

She quipped: ‘Gaston wants his boots back @davidbeckham.’

The comment section lit up after her initial post, which made no attempt to hide David’s footwear as the proud parents posed with son Cruz and daughter Harper.

One follower joked: ‘David, Goliath called, he wants his boots back!’

Another added: ‘I think you’ve put Hagrid’s boots on by mistake’

And a different user laughed: ‘Had to the 2 minute silent outside and couldn’t find his slippers so he found the Gaston costume boots’.

At least David took the lighthearted response in his stride, eh?

David’s post over the weekend didn’t draw as much attention to his feet, as he shared a clip with his family observing the two minute silence.

He captioned the video: ‘This week I met the amazing Chelsea Pensioners. I was so happy we were able to visit them in these especially difficult times for older people and for all charities.

‘As so many of us spend today back in lockdown we remember those who gave so much for our freedom. It’s a chance to talk to our children about why we mark Remembrance Day like my grandad taught me why we wear the poppy.

‘The pensioners are sad they can’t go out and sell poppies this year as usual, please support them and donate online if you can’.
