David Tennant’s wife Georgia marks 10th wedding anniversary with sweet snap from their big day: ‘The happiest day followed by the happiest life’

David Tennant and his wife Georgia are celebrating 10 years of marriage, and Georgia has shared an unseen snap from their wedding day in honour of the occasion.

The actress – who married the Doctor Who star in 2011 – posted a lovely shot from their big day to her 243k Instagram followers.

Offering a rare glimpse into their wedding ceremony, 37-year-old Georgia posted a candid pic of the newlyweds embracing their son, Ty, now aged 19 at the altar after saying ‘I do.’

The photo shows Georgia cradling Ty’s head as he nestles into his parents while David, 50, beams with happiness.

Georgia captioned her post with: ‘The happiest day followed by the happiest life. Thanks DT. #tenwithten #niche.’

Her ‘tenwithten’ hashtag is a cheeky nod to the Scottish actor’s role as the tenth incarnation of the titular Time Lord.

The pair met in 2008, when Georgia starred in BBC’s Doctor Who, as the Doctor’s genetically engineered daughter Jenny.

Three years later, they married IRL and now have five children together.

Their brood includes Georgia’s son from a previous relationship, Ty, whom David adopted.

They also share three daughters, Olive, 10, Doris, six, and Birdie, 21 months, and a son, Wilfred, eight.

David’s most recent project was the new BBC adaptation of Around The World in 80 Days, in which he played globetrotter, Phileas Fogg.

The eight-parter launched on Boxing Day and is based on the 1873 novel of the same name.

Son Ty also makes an appearance in the show as a New York gang leader, with David admitting it was ‘quite weird’ acting opposite his own child.

Appearing virtually on The One Show to chat about Ashley Pharoah’s take on the classic novel, David revealed: ‘It’s a bit of a transition when you move from a kind parental relationship to colleague at work.

However, the actor ‘really loved’ the experience, and admires how ‘professional and assured’ his son is on set.
