Internet detectives came to Davina McCall’s rescue after her beloved pup went missing in Tunbridge Wells.
The former Big Brother star issued a desperate cry for help on Twitter, begging for help in tracking down Bo.
She wrote: ‘I know this is a long shot. My dog Bo was picked up in Tunbridge Wells by two ladies and they told someone who told me that they were taking her to a vet.
‘She is chipped. I’ve called every vet locally [within] a five mile radius. Please let me know which vets. X please RT.’
Davina’s plea was retweeted 1000 times, and fans flooded her mentions offering help, advice, and condolences.
Several followers suggested Davina try contacting the local council, which seemed to be the missing piece of the puzzle.
‘OMG it worked!’ she later tweeted. Bo is with a dog warden… I’m so stressed I can’t find a way to contact them online. Please @TWellsCouncil can you help me with a contact number?’
It looks like she managed to make contact. An elated Davina took to Twitter in a short video, thanking the social media sleuths who solved the mystery of her missing pup.
Beaming, she said: ‘I’ve got her, she’s in the back of the car. Thank you everybody for the the retweets, and she’s safe and sound!’
We’re so relieved this tale has a happy ending.
It’s been a dramatic few weeks for Davina, 53, whose daughter Holly tested positive for Covid-19 one week after returning to Newcastle University.
The pandemic has also potentially put a wrench in Davina’s next DIY-themed project, the reboot of ‘90s house-swapping hit Changing Rooms.
Rumours began to fly this morning that production on the hotly-anticipated revival as a result of England’s new Covid-19 restrictions limiting contact between households.
