Greg James has defending himself after swearing over Giovanna Fletcher’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! win.
However, while fans were thrilled for the mum-of-three, who is the first ever Queen of the Castle, Greg was gutted for his Radio 1 colleague, and let us all know about it.
Taking to Twitter, the 34-year-old shared a video as he watched Ant and Dec announce the winner, and could be heard shouting: ‘Oh f**k off! Oh for f…’
Defending his post, the Breakfast Show host insisted that he’s ‘allowed’ to be upset for his pal.
‘Ps. This is the reaction to a pal not winning a show where you have to eat bollocks and sit in maggots,’ he added. ‘Don’t take it too seriously.
‘Gi is lovely and a worthy winner but I’m allowed to be disappointed for Jordan.
‘No need to call the be kind police.’
While Greg was left gutted for Jordan, Giovanna’s nearest and dearest couldn’t help but cheer the author on.
Husband Tom Fletcher was among the first to celebrate, tweeting: ‘YEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!! Thanks SO much for voting and supporting @MrsGiFletcher from the very beginning.
‘She’s always been our queen but now she has a crown to prove it! Now I just have to explain to the kids that this doesn’t mean we’re moving into the castle…’
Her brother, Mario Falcone, posted: ‘Wow!!! I am so happy for her!!! My sister is the queen of the castle!!!!!!!’
In fact, the Towie star was so confident his sister would be crowned champion that he put £1,000 in her name, pocketing £9,000.
Speaking to The Sun before her win, he said: ‘I’ve got a cheeky bet on my sister – from day one – so I’ll be pretty happy. I got nine-to-one odds and I put £1,000 on.’
‘If she doesn’t she owes me a grand.’
Celebration drinks on Mario, anyone?
