Jade Thirlwall’s Cake on Bake Off Was the Ultimate Little Mix Tribute

Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall made fans extremely emotional after appearing on Celebrity Bake Off last night as she created the ultimate tribute to her bandmates. The singer joined the Bake Off cast on 30 March for the third instalment of the Stand Up 2 Cancer series alongside musician and content creator KSI, comedian Katherine Ryan, and presenter Stacey Dooley.

The first challenge saw the contestants creating fondant fancies inspired by their favourite cocktails, and Thirwall created bright orange porn star martini fondant fancies. As it turns out, she owns a cocktail bar in South Shields, and unsurprisingly, the porn star martini is a major bestseller.

The final challenge was to create a biscuit inspired by something the bakers can’t live without, and Thirlwall created an adorable cake inspired by her Little Mix bandmates that had fans everywhere deep in their feels. “I am attempting to make a Little Mix concert – it’s ambitious”! she said on the show, before Prue Leith attempted to “eat her knickers”, to which Thirlwall replied, “I’m honoured”. The cake featured all members of Little Mix, including Jesy Nelson, who made the decision to leave the band this year. The episode was filmed prior to her departure, and as a result, it brought up a whole host of emotions when fans watched back.

Following the episode, Thirlwall shared a picture of her winning creation on Instagram, with a caption that read “I’M A WINNER, BABY ? Thank you for having me @britishbakeoff – dream come true ? Probably not the best show stopper you’ve ever seen ? but I’m super proud of myself and everyone else who got involved! If you can, please keep donating to @su2cuk ?”
