Lauren Goodger’s ex Charles Drury has spoken out days after her pregnancy announcement, and after he admitted to sleeping with another woman during their split.
The former Towie star revealed she was pregnant with their second child earlier this week, nine months after giving birth to their first daughter Larose.
It came just days after Charles, 24, admitted to sleeping with another woman when he and Lauren, 35, were on a break last year.
On Thursday, the builder shared a sweet photo of Larose to his Instagram stories and fawned: ‘Every parent is biased but just please look at my princess.’
He then addressed the recent scandal and wrote: ‘I’m so proud to be your daddy, you’re going to be the best big sister to your little sister. You both give me reason to work hard, to make sure I learn from my mistakes & better myself day by day.’
Charles then heaped praise on Lauren and added: ‘I’m so proud of your mum for doing an amazing job with you whilst being so strong mentally & physically, we love you both more than you’ll ever know & will do our utmost best to make sure you are both the happiest little girls in the world.’
Earlier this month, Charles confirmed he enjoyed a brief romance with Amy Gilbert, who he reportedly met for sex at his East London home and even spent a whole weekend with.
According to Amy, the pair spoke through FaceTime everyday and were ‘on and off’. However, their romance came to an end when Charles reconciled with Lauren.
Charles reportedly confirmed the romance and said Amy was ‘sour she had got cut off’.
He told The Sun: ‘It was four or five days from the first point of contact from ever talking to this Amy girl to me saying it was a mistake and I didn’t want to speak to her anymore.
‘She wanted to meet up and sleep together on the first night of meeting. Being stupid, things obviously happened.’
On Monday, Lauren announced that she was expecting again after falling pregnant eight weeks after giving birth to Larose.
The TV star told OK! Magazine: ‘We weren’t very careful and Charlie was really pleased, but being honest I was really in two minds about it.’
However, she added that she was ‘glad’ Charles convinced her to keep the baby.
