Lily Allen suffers disaster as daughter Marnie’s incredible birthday cake ends up smashed

Lily Allen’s daughter’s birthday cake might have looked lavish… but it ended up with an unfortunate end as it got smashed to pieces.

The Smile star, 35, was celebrating her daughter Marnie turning eight years old as she showed her followers the amazing cake she’d got her.

Lily posted a snap of the creation, writing: ‘@cielocakery CAME THRU!!!’ alongside the sweet-laden cake.

The chocolate cake was a tall, multi-layered, striped cylinder featuring white chocolate drizzle and a host of amazing sweets for decoration.

As well as lollipops and flying saucers, the cake was also adorned with Haribo sweets, Maoams and Fizz Wiz dippers.

Sadly, it looks like the family didn’t get much chance to tuck in before someone managed to drop the cake, with the majority of it breaking off and ending up upside down on the table.

Lily shared a snap of the resulting carnage with her followers, adding: ‘Oh dear’.

As well as Marnie, Lily also shares eldest daughter Ethel, nine, with her ex-husband Sam Cooper.

The singer is now married to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 45, after they tied the knot in an amazing Las Vegas wedding last September.

Both Marnie and Ethel were also guests of honour and bridesmaids at the ceremony – which was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator – and were seen tucking in to In-N-Out burgers with Lily and David after the nuptials.

David recently told People: ‘I married a beautiful, incredible woman who I love. I have never met someone who is so deeply kind as her.

‘I’ve never felt so taken care of and cared for by another human being. She really is just a deeply kind individual and I love that about her.’
