Anna Vakili revealed her dad collapsed on Boxing Day over his coronavirus symptoms.
The Love Island star previously revealed her entire family had tested positive for Covid-19, stressing that the condition was ‘no joke’.
Giving fans an update on her illness, the 30-year-old explained her parents had been hit hard by the illness.
Taking to her Instagram story, she began: ‘Quick update as I’ve been off social media for a few days.
‘Me and Mandi are almost fully recovered (just both have bad muscle pains, fatigue and I get bad headaches), but just looking after our parents at the moment.
‘Dad is quite bad and collapsed on Boxing Day. It was the scariest time of my life.
‘Ambulance came but we have decided to keep him at home. His breathing is okay, he is just sleeping all day.
‘Mum has slept most of the day, but I can definitely see an improvement in her. Her breathing is fine too.
‘I’m just hoping by New Year’s they will feel better [sic].’
Anna also took the opportunity to share tips on what they have found to help their conditions – but stressed that people have been impacted in different ways.
They included ‘ginger lemon honey warm drinks’, vitamin D, Berocca, orange juice and painkillers.
‘Also guys I’ve heard for breathing it’s good to lie on your front,’ she added. ‘We haven’t had to do this as we haven’t had breathing problems but still others might find useful (Have so many DMs from people that are positive for Covid – this s**t is spreading fast.
‘Sending love to anyone going through it or with family going through it.’
The pharmacist previously detailed her illness for fans on Instagram, explaining that she was bed bound with her symptoms.
Urging people to take coronavirus seriously, she shared a snap of herself under the covers, with the caption: ‘This corona s**t is not a joke.
‘Been bed bound for days and now been tested positive so has Mandi.’
Anna’s sister Mandi said on her own page: ‘I’m not that bad, I’m okay to be honest. I had one night that was bad. Other than that it’s like a regular cold that I’m dealing with.
‘To be honest it’s not actually my worst cold. I’ve had way worse colds. Anna’s been really bad, she’s been completely bed bound.
‘Me, Anna, my mum and dad are all isolating right now at me and Anna’s place because my parents were staying at mine before tier four got announced. We’ve all got symptoms now, we’re all isolating.’
