Mandy Moore has welcomed her first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith.
The This Is Is star announced the birth of her son on Tuesday as she revealed the name of her baby boy on Instagram.
The Ready as I’ll Ever Be singer wrote: ‘Gus is here. Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith.
‘He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents.’
She added: ‘We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.’
The happy news came after the actress had been dealing with ‘nausea and exhaustion’ during the third trimester of her pregnancy.
The 36-year-old shared her experience of being pregnant on Instagram with her fans, revealing all the highs and lows.
Recently the singer went through a tricky patch ahead of her baby’s birth, explaining that she suddenly feels ‘weepy’ for no reason.
Posting a selfie on her Instagram Stories, she reached out to other expectant parents who might be going through something similar.
Mandy said: ‘Question for the third trimester pregnant friends – is anyone else suddenly nauseous, exhausted and weepy?
‘What the heck?? I feel like everything just turned on a dime.’
She previously shared a photo of herself at 30 weeks pregnant cradling her bump in the mirror and calling her unborn baby a ‘tiny kickboxer’.
Mandy and Taylor recently celebrated two years of marriage, and she thanked her husband for his ‘grace, patience, humour, understanding and so much more’.
The couple tied the knot in 2018 after two years of dating.
