Max George is a cautionary tale of what happens if you hit your face on a rock while swimming in the Adriatic Sea.
The 32-year-old singer took to Instagram to show off bloodied bruises and cuts around his eye following an accident at sea.
Max humorously captioned the post: ‘You should see the other guy.’
Sharing an insight into what it was that got him into this stage, he added: ‘(A MASSIVE rock at the bottom of the Adriatic).’
When a follower asked what happened, Max explained: ‘I hit my face on a rock at the bottom of the sea.’
He assured his fans that his injuries were not too serious as he also included a laughing emoji.
Max’s girlfriend Stacey Giggs commented: ‘Muppet’, while his The Wanted bandmate Tom Parker joked: ‘Getting beaten up by the rock.’
The singer also shared the picture on Instagram Stories and wrote: ‘Always wear goggles in the sea…’
While Max appears to be keeping his spirits high above water, the accident could have been a lot worse — since the singer already has sight loss in his right eye, and had to have part of his left eye removed due to an infection.
‘I can’t see properly out of my right. My left eye does all the work,’ he previously said.
Hopefully, his cuts and contusions should clear up before he makes his way to Coronation Street, having recently announced he had been in talks with the show’s bosses about joining the soap.
His debut would come seven years after Coronation Street starred his former fiancee Michelle Keegan.
In an interview with the Daily Star, the singer said: ’Coronation Street is only around the corner and I’m a Manchester lad, so it kind of makes sense. I’ve had talks about that, but it’s not something that’s ever interested me.
‘For me film is what I want to concentrate on first, but never say never with anything.’
Max rose to prominence when pop group The Wanted scored number ones in the UK with All Time Low and Glad You Came, while their other hits included Lightning, Chasing The Sun, I Found You, Heart Vacancy and Walks Like Rihanna.
The band also scored three top 10 albums: 2010’s The Wanted, Battleground in 2011, and 2013’s Word Of Mouth.Credit: Original article published here.
