Molly-Mae Hague had to watch brother-in-law Tyson Fury defeat Deontay Wilder from afar but, luckily, boyfriend Tommy Fury facetimed her from the ring.
Love Island star Tommy jetted over to Las Vegas to support his big brother Tyson as he took on Wilder in their tense boxing match on Saturday night.
Tyson, 33, triumphed with a devastating knockout against Wilder, 35, that resulted in him retaining his WBC heavyweight title.
Molly-Mae watched nervously from home in Manchester where she lives with boyfriend Tommy, and documented her solo viewing party in her Instagram stories.
Tuning in at a tiresome 5am in the UK, the influencer cheered on at the start of the fight: ‘Come on Tyson.’
Along with footage of Tyson delivering a blow to Wilder’s temple and knocking his opponent to the ground, she wrote: ‘Demolition job.’
After Tyson was crowned the winner, she applauded her future brother-in-law, writing: ‘That’s a champion right there. Not an inch of doubt from any of us. So beyond happy.’
Despite being caught up in all the excitement, Tommy didn’t forget his number one lady and managed to facetime Molly-Mae while celebrating with Tyson in the middle of the ring.
‘AGHHHH. Best call,’ she wrote with red heart emoji next to Tommy’s smiling face.
The 22-year-old also gave a special shoutout to Tyson’s wife Paris Fury and commented: ‘How stunning. A moment for @parisfury1.’
Molly-Mae recently opened up about what it’s like to date a boxer, with Tommy a professional fighter himself, and admitted it’s ‘agonising’ to watch.
In a Q&A with fans, she explained: ‘I don’t have anxiety on a day to day basis at all, I’m very lucky, but when Tommy’s fighting I literally can’t explain the feeling.
‘My stomach is in knots/agony until it’s over. It’s just the hardest thing to watch but I’m also so proud of him so it’s lots of emotions!’
Molly-Mae then revealed that her anxiety over watching Tommy, also 22, in matches had increased recently too.
‘I thought I’d get better at dealing with it but I’ve actually gotten worse,’ she finished, with a cry-laughing emoji.
The boxer is currently 7-0 in his career but has promised that he is ‘nowhere near the finished article’ yet.
Molly-Mae and Tommy met in the 2019 series of Love Island and have been going strong ever since, making them one of the few couples to last outside of the villa in the dating programme’s history.
