Netflix drops first look trailer for final To All The Boys movie, but will Lara Jean and Peter’s love story survive?

Get excited, people. The final To All The Boys movie is so close to dropping on our screens and now Netflix has given us all a first look at what’s in store for Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky.

Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) and Peter (Noah Centineo) have really been through it all – surprise love letters, fake dating, hot tubs rendezvous resulting in fake sex tapes leaking and, of course, the return of John Ambrose McClaren.

But, their final year of high school and going off to college could be the biggest challenge yet for Adler High’s power couple.

To All The Boys: Always and Forever follows Lara Jean and Peter as they plan for their future together, with both hoping to get into Stanford university and do college as a couple.

Naturally, the course of true love never runs smoothly and if the trailer is anything to go by, the pair are in for some major hiccups: mainly Lara Jean getting a taste for New York and reconsidering following her boyfriend to Stanford.

Not so sure they’d be able to survive long-distance, it looks like Lara Jean has a tough decision to make, as she says: ‘Will I look back in 20 years and wonder if I made the wrong choice?’

Still in between all the scenes that have us fearing potential heartbreak is on the way, it seems we’ll still be getting those oh-so-cute Lara-Jean and Peter PDAs too – especially as the pair are off to prom.

Always and Forever is the third and final instalment in the To All The Boys trilogy, based on the book To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before penned by Jenny Han.

The sequels – P.S I Still Love You and Always and Forever – were shot back to back, with the second movie dropping on Netflix in February 2020.

In July, lead stars Lana and Noah gave fans a teaser of what to expect in the final and third movie as they gave a surprise table read of a scene that sees Peter ask Lara Jean to prom.

Things are a little awkward as Lara Jean is clearly plucking up the courage to discuss something real important with Peter, but he jumps in and asks her to prom before she gets a chance.

Lana said: ‘What do we get from [the scene]? I don’t really know if Peter is picking up what Lara Jean is really putting down.’

Teasing drama is on the horizon, Noah joked: ‘I’m just trying to make this prom-posal dope. I wonder what it is that Lara Jean just isn’t telling Peter. That’s just weird. I wonder what is going on.’

To All The Boys: Always and Forever lands on Netflix on February 12.
