Travis Scott’s Halloween costume might have divided fans, but it wasn’t trolling over his brown Batman outfit that led to him deleting his Instagram account.
The Sicko Mode rapper, 29, pulled out all the stops with his Batman costume for October 31, donning the full armour, cape and helmet as he posed alongside his cars.
Travis even went the extra mile in order to match his vehicles, which had been wrapped to be brown, by getting his bat suit custom made in brown rather than the classic black most fans are used to.
He had worn the outfit to Kendall Jenner’s 25th birthday party on Saturday, but it soon spawned a host of memes and mockery over the colour of the suit being wrong.
Despite fans assuming it was the backlash that caused his departure from Instagram, sources have told Page Six the break from social media had nothing to do with the Halloween costume after all.
An insider told the site: ‘Halloween had nothing to do with it. He is focusing on his family and their well-being and wants to influence his fans to do the same instead of being so consumed with social media.’
The source added that Travis thought it was ‘important’ to take a step back from social media during ‘such a critical time in the world right now.’
Travis had spent the spooky holiday with Kylie and Stormi, who dressed up as matching Minions, amid rumours the former couple might be getting back together.
They sparked rumours of a reconciliation after Kylie shared photos with Travis on Instagram earlier in October, with the shirtless rapper leaning on a wall next to her.
