Piers Morgan’s son Spencer has hit out at mean comments online about the family trip he is on with his dad and brothers.

The TV presenter, 56, has jetted off to Antigua with his three sons from his first marriage – Spencer, 28, Stanley, 24 and Bertie, 20.

Piers, who has recently battled Covid-19, has been sharing snaps from their holiday on social media as they hang out on the beach and dine at incredible locations.

On Monday night Spencer hit out at ‘sad lowlifes’ who were slating them on social media.

He wrote: ‘If there was ever proof that Twitter is full of sad lowlifes it’s the fact so many think it’s weird for three brothers to go on holiday with their dad once a year. I pity them.’

Antigua is a family favourite destination, with the former Good Morning Britain star holidaying there several times over the last decade.

He had to share a glimpse at his luxurious surroundings with his followers on Instagram, including one from his decadent hotel room overlooking the water.

Absent from the trip was Piers’ wife Celia Walden and their nine-year-old daughter Elise.

The author, 45, has been with Piers since 2006 and married to him since 2010.

She joked on her own Instagram that she was enjoying some time apart from her opinionated other half, joking that it is the secret to making their marriage work.

Sharing a picture of her man reading The Husbands by Chandler Baker, she quipped: ‘When I said “This book might just save your marriage” in my interview with @chandlerbakerbooks in today’s Telegraph, I should have made it clear that He needs to read it too…

‘And spend a couple of weeks a year 5000 miles away.’

When a fan asked why she wasn’t sunning herself in Antigua with Piers and the boys, Celia replied: ‘He’s having a boys holiday. And I’m having a Piers-cation…’
