Jeongin from K-pop sensations Stray Kids broke the internet with a video and pictures of him dressed up as Harley Quinn for Halloween.
The 19-year-old, who also goes by I.N, dressed up as the DC Comics character in a video chat and fans could not contain their excitement, with several hailing the moment as a ‘cultural reset’.
And from the comments, it sounds like that’s exactly what these giddy Stray Kids stans – also known as Stays – will be doing this Halloween.
The band reunited last year only to cancel their European tour in March due to Covid-19 concerns, so Stays have been desperate for new content.
‘Please call 911 IDK if I can survive this!’ one wrote in all caps on a message board.
While another replied: ‘Oh my god he looks amazing. [I] never knew I needed this in my life lol. He looks hot.’
And a third was so taken by the video and pictures they claimed to have been frenzied into a state of insomnia, writing: ‘Oh my god it’s nearly 3am and I’m about to go to bed but now I’m not gonna be able to sleep AXCDCVFFDX.”
Jeongin does indeed pull of the look well – in the video, his black hair was dyed Harley’s characteristic half-and-half red and blue, and he wore a spiked leather choker around his neck.
He also sported Harley’s trademark under-eye heart tattoo, a shiny lamé jacket, and carried a baseball bat to complete the look.
Jeongin made sure his orange background was dolled up for the occasion with a ‘Happy Halloween’ banner, witch’s hat, and Pitchfork.
And Jeongin wasn’t the only member of the eight-member boy band, formed in 2017, to dress up for Halloween.
Fellow singer Felix, 20, elected to go as a vampire and Hyunjin, 20, dressed up as Draco Malfoy.
