Seann Walsh has posted the most perfect response after photos emerged of Matt Hancock kissing his aide, following Seann’s own scandal while on Strictly Come Dancing.

The comedian, 35, who was also photographed kissing then-married Strictly professional dancer Katya Jones, reached out after the married Secretary of State for Health and Social Care was caught on CCTV breaking social distancing rules by kissing his aide, Gina Coladangelo.

Seann took to Twitter to post: ‘Having a bad day @MattHancock? Just count yourself lucky you don’t have to learn the Charleston.’

Mr Hancock, who has been married to wife Martha for 15 years, apologised after pictures emerged of him and Ms Coladangelo, who is also married to Oliver Bonas founder Oliver Tress, kissing on May 6, when government guidelines stated that two people from different households should not hug.

His statement said: ‘I accept that I breached the social distancing guidance in these circumstances.

‘I have let people down and am very sorry. I remain focused on working to get the country out of this pandemic, and would be grateful for privacy for my family on this personal matter.’

Seann had also made headlines in October 2018 after he and Katya, 32, who had been partnered together on the show, were photographed kissing in the street on a night out.

The pictures had sparked the end of Seann’s relationship with girlfriend Rebecca Humphries, who he had been with for five years.

Katya and her husband Neil Jones, 39, had initially remained together, but announced their split in August 2019.

Seann has previously made light of the scandal during his stand-up comedy sets, but admitted last month that it changed his life forever.

Speaking about Strictly and the kiss on the podcast Take Flight with Mark Whittle, Seann said: It was a very exciting time. It’s such a shame that it haunts me with so many negative memories, because actually I was having a wonderful time.

‘Up until that point, I had never enjoyed myself so much in my life. I couldn’t believe my luck that I was on this programme and it was going well.

‘From that point on, my life changed… forever, I suppose. It’s difficult because two days later, my ex-girlfriend sort of posted online a sort of statement about me lying about the kiss, and then that went on to other public accusations about me.

‘I accept that, you do wrong and you put yourself in the spotlight and you pay the price for it. What I don’t accept to this day and struggle with and it does haunt me is this notion of who I am as a person has been drawn up and taken out of one’s control.’
