Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has revealed the results of a dramatic post-lockdown hair transformation – and it is stunning.
Dianne, 32, has been well known for her vibrant, cherry-red locks ever since she joined the BBC’s iconic Saturday night show as one of the professionals in 2017.
In the past, the dancer has taken fans through her hair care routine in videos on her YouTube channel as maintaining the colour – and health – of her dyed hair is a pretty demanding task.
But now the dancer, who is also a trained hairdresser, has put her haircare in the hands of others and emerged with a brand new look.
Showing off the transformation on her Instagram, Dianne wrote, ‘NEW HAIR ALERT’, and tagged those responsible, saying, ‘I love love love it !!!!’.
Plenty of her Strictly co-stars were quick to comment, with pro Johannes Radebe writing: ‘Chomi now I see the vision’.
‘Now u look like my sister’, pointed out fellow dancer and natural redhead Neil Jones, of their newly-matching barnets.
BBC radio DJ Dev Griffin, Dianne’s celebrity partner on Strictly in 2019, couldn’t resist a Dad joke, saying: ‘Orange you glad you did it??! Haha…. I’ll let my self out’.
Dianne also uploaded a video documenting the process for her 257,000 subscribers on YouTube.
In the video she showed her YouTuber boyfriend Joe Sugg’s reaction as he picked her up from the train station following her appointment.

‘Oh my god, it’s amazing!’ exclaimed Joe, before saying that Dianne reminded him of ‘the girl from Fifth Element’ (Milla Jovovich).
Dianne was also delighted by the new colour, and by the fact that she can ‘now wear red lipstick, and it looks cool’.
Dianne’s hair knowledge was put to good use this year as she launched a new podcast, Di’s Salon, with BBC Sounds in January, where guests joined her in her virtual salon to look back on hairstyles they’ve rocked over the years before trying a new one.
Interviews included comedian Russell Kane, James McVey from The Vamps and her boyfriend Joe.
