Shirley Ballas has been making sure to stay in tip-top shape as she revealed she visited a juice retreat in Portugal recently.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 61, share a series of snaps from her trip to Portugal, which included yoga, juicing and… colonic irrigation.
In the photos, Shirley was seen hiking in stunning nature as well as relaxing in a pool to read a book on juice cleansing.
She told her followers: ‘Well what an experience here with @jasonvale @juicemasterretreats it’s been absolutely transformative learning about juicing.
‘The schedule is tough but you can do as much or as little as you like. Me I did it all today and I’m exhausted but feeling proud of myself.
‘The hike was just beautiful, the views breathtaking. All the classes informative and so professionally put across to all levels, so impressive. I even tried volley ball today lol trampolining was an experience in itself.’
Shirley added: ‘I’m happy I took time to focus on myself, to do the things I love long time over due, and I met some very cool people.’
It wasn’t all hiking and juices, however, as Shirley revealed: ‘I’ve even had a colonic to clean my system which I loved and I truly felt lighter and cleaner from the inside out.
‘Facial, massage, rainforest scrub, this will be an experience I will have in my calendar from now on, it’s been a phenomenal experience here in Portugal. Wow wow wow. Loved being here with my friend and publicist @lauransinclair.’
Her visit comes after Shirley had some health scares last year, including finding a lump in her armpit and having tests to rule out cancer on her kidneys.
Shirley had updated fans in November to reassure them that all of her tests had thankfully come back clear of cancer after her followers had alerted her to a lump in her armpit which they spotted when she raised her arm in a video.
Doctors had also flagged concerns about her high testosterone levels and a shadow on her kidney, but her tests showed it was not cancer.
