The Hills star Whitney Port has suffered a miscarriage.
The 35-year-old shared with fans that she and husband Tim Rosenman found out ‘a few months ago’ that they were expecting another baby.
Sadly, Whitney lost the pregnancy, a year and a half after suffering another miscarriage.
The reality star wrote on Instagram: ‘Hey, Everyone. This is not an easy one. We decided to start vlogging for our YouTube channel a couple months ago to share two stories: Renovating a new house and a new pregnancy journey. Sadly, I lost the pregnancy.
‘Timmy and I weren’t sure if we still wanted to put this out there. I wasn’t sure I wanted to relive the pain. However, this time around, I felt differently about the situation. Last time, I don’t think I was ready to have another child, and I had different feelings about the miscarriage.
‘This time, I really connected. I was actually excited and enjoying the pregnancy. I envisioned it all. I’m sad but I’m ok and we will try again.
‘So here’s our story. I also have so much sadness in my heart for anyone that has to go through this or has gone through this. I know though that our community will share, band together and support- cause you always do.’
Whitney’s friends and fans shared their condolences and support in the comments, as well as sharing their own experiences of miscarriage and grief.
The fashion designer explained that she and Tim decided that they would share the vlogs they had filmed, and posted the first episode to YouTube.
The video opened with messages reading: ‘A few months ago Timmy and I found out I was pregnant. We were so happy.
‘I was sure I was having a girl, and connected to that idea and feeling immediately.
‘We had also just closed on a small house that we were going to renovate, and thought it would be fun to share both stories with you guys.
‘Sadly, I lost the pregnancy. After a lot of consideration, we decided to still make the videos.’
In the first vlog, Whitney revealed that she was seven weeks pregnant, and was enjoying her pregnancy so far.
She said: ‘I’m enjoying being pregnant because I can relax and not feel guilty about it and I’m spending all this time at home and I have nowhere to be.
‘But I’m also ready to just, like, have the baby so I can be in charge of my body and life again and not ever have to have any anxiety about getting pregnant ever again.’
The podcast host added that this would ‘probably’ be her and Tim’s last child, although suggested they could adopt in future.
Whitney and Tim, who tied the knot in 2015, are already parents to three-year-old Sonny.
In July 2019, Whitney shared that she felt guilty for feeling relief when she suffered a miscarriage two weeks earlier.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘The amount of various emotions I felt in the past couple weeks have been extreme…from shock to sadness to relief, which then led to guilt for feeling that relief.
‘My identity has been shaken in regards to who [I am] as a mum and human being. I’m currently in the process of learning to accept that my feelings are valid no matter what they are. Whether or not people feel the same way as me or not. ‘They are my personal emotions that are the result from my own journey.’
Whitney shot to fame in 2006 when she appeared on The Hills as Lauren Conrad’s friend and fellow intern at Teen Vogue.
She went on to get her own spin-off series The City, during which she met Tim, who was a producer on the MTV show.
