Towie stars Shelby Tribble and Sam Mucklow have welcomed a baby boy.
The reality stars confirmed the arrival of their son on Instagram, with Sam sharing a statement to his story, assuring fans that both mum and baby are doing well.
He explained that Shelby’s labour wasn’t exactly ‘straightforward’ and that she has been in hospital for five days now, but thanked the NHS staff looking after her, as he revealed both his co-star girlfriend and their baby are healthy.
Sam wrote: ‘Thank you all for your lovely messages wishing @shelbytribble and myself good luck. So many beautiful people out there, honestly overwhelming, thank you all.
‘Shelby and our beautiful baby boy are both well and healthy. Shelby didn’t have a straightforward labour so she has been in hospital for 5 days today!’
Praising his girlfriend, Sam continued: ‘She has been an absolute soldier.
‘Also need to thank all of the doctors, nurses, midwifes in antenatal labour and postnatal at Queens hospital Romford. So many lovely staff, we are so lucky to have the @nhsengland.’
Shelby re-posted his statement to her own Instagram story.
She and Sam are yet to share any other details regarding their baby boy’s birth, including his name and birth date.
Essex star Shelby had documented her pregnancy on social media for fans and revealed she was overdue, as she marked what should have been her due date on November 7.
She joked that she was ‘still waiting’ for her little one to make an appearance.
Sam, meanwhile, had told fans: ‘I am so proud of this girl @shelbytribble Who would have thought ? in the next 48 hours we can call ourselves Mum & Dad ?? I’m so excited to start the next chapter of our lives.’
The pair first confirmed news they were expecting a baby together in May, later revealing to fans that they were set to welcome a baby boy.
Fans had watched Shelby and Sam’s relationship play out on ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex, before they both decided to leave the show in October 2019.
