Victoria Beckham shares epic ’90s throwback to mark Spice Girls star Mel C’s birthday and nostalgia is real

Victoria Beckham has been making us Spice Girls fans feel all the feels, after sharing an epic throwback snap of herself and Mel C from the ’90s.

Wanting to mark her former bandmate’s birthday, Victoria – who recently opened up about ‘stepping away’ from the Spice Girls – dug into the archives to pull out a great photo of herself and Mel together back in the day.

The snap screams ’90s from Victoria’s bikini under trench coat look topped off with a leopard print handbag and Mel’s old school Nike tee. Not to mention the girls’ poker-straight hair and thinly plucked eyebrows – boy, is the nostalgia real.

Alongside her photo of the pair looking all baby-faced, Victoria reminisced over the ‘amazing memories’ the two stars have shared over the years.

She wrote: ‘Happy Birthday to the wonderful @melaniecmusic. Here’s to so many amazing memories together!? ❤️ Kisses xxx.’

‘Thank you my love, hopefully we’ll be raising one together soon ?,’ Mel wrote back, as Spice Girls fans all over going wild for the upload.

‘❤️ Friendship never ends ✌?,’ commented one follower, while another posted: ‘The good old times, you should bring the girls back together! ?♥️.’

‘Aw I love this so much. #FriendshipNeverEnds,’ gushed one fan, as others branded the photo ‘iconic’ and ‘a gem’.

All of the Spice Girls – Victoria, Mel, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Mel B – have stayed friends following the girlband’s split in 2001 and rumours are rife that all five girls are keen to reunite for yet another comeback tour.

Victoria had chosen to sit out of a sell-out stadium tour the rest of the band had embarked on in 2019, choosing instead to focus on her successful fashion brand.

However, Mel C has said that she thinks Victoria is ‘coming round’ to the idea of reuniting with the rest of the girls in stage and so, another tour could be on the cards with all five girls.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music show Essentials Radio, Mel said: ‘We found it hard last year and we did really miss her. But you’re right, we’re still really close.

‘She was very involved in the creative and everything that we were doing in the show. And I think she really found it difficult. That first night, when the pictures were beamed all over the world, it was hard for her. And we’re hoping it was hard enough to bring her back.’

Mel B has also teased another tour with Victoria and insisted that all five Spice Girls – yes, all five – are ready and ‘raring to go’ when it’s safe again to start hitting the road, given the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘I think it’s all of us. I think so,’ she told press following her appearance on The Masked Singer. ‘Until the restrictions are eased it’s all up in the air but we are all raring to go.’
