Wayne Rooney has shared a heartfelt message for his wife Coleen Rooney as she turns 35 on Saturday, 3 April 2021

The football manager, 35, shared a host of photos of Coleen with him and their children as he wrote: ‘Happy Birthday @coleen_rooney. We love you, thanks for everything.’

Most of the photos he shared to make the occasion featured Coleen with their four sons, Kai, 11, Klay, seven, Kit, five, and Cass, three, as well as a selfie of him with Coleen too.

Among the photos were snaps of Coleen in matching pyjamas with her boys, them all chilling at home in sportswear and even wrapped up warm during winter.

Wayne also included a sweet selfie of him and Coleen, with both of them donning sunglasses as they smiled for the snap on a cold but beautiful day together.

Coleen and the former Manchester United star have been together since 2002 after meeting at secondary school and have been married since 2008.

The star’s birthday comes as her ongoing legal battle with fellow ‘Wag’ Rebekah Vardy, 39, appears to be nearing its end.

The dispute has been ongoing for a year and a half, with another High Court hearing scheduled for July 2.

A source has claimed to the Mail On Sunday that Coleen was considering withdrawing the case, alleging: ‘She is still convinced she’s in the right but that is very different from being able to prove it in a court of law.

‘She wanted to settle this amicably ages ago but to her dismay, it has dragged on.’

A source claims that Rebekah is reportedly asking for Coleen to pay her costs and damages as well as issuing a public apology.

The insider claims: ‘Rebekah will not drop her demands of a sorry from Coleen. She feels that a lot of pain and upset has been caused by the accusations against her.’
