Three boozy milkshake recipes to try this weekend

A boozy tipple and a creamy milkshake are both drinks that are brilliant on their own.

But combine the two and you’ve created a beverage that packs a punch.

So, if you’re bored of Friday night wine or you’ve fallen out of love with G&Ts, it might be time to switch things up in the drinks department.

And a boozy milkshake could be just the thing.

Online drinks retailer The Bottle Club has come up with three fabulous recipes to try – with something for everyone.

We all know how much the nation loves Biscoff, so the team have made a milkshake to satisfy cravings.

What’s more, the company has tapped into the recent resurgence in chocolate orange – by creating a recipe that pays tribute to the trend.

There’s also a classic strawberry and Baileys cream option – which can be enjoyed any time of year, not just during the summer months.

Below are the boozy milkshake recipes from The Bottle Club to try this weekend:

Boozy Biscoff shake recipe:

  • 200g Biscoff syrup
  • 1 shot of coffee
  • 400g vanilla ice cream (vegan if wanted)
  • 150ml whole milk or oat milk for a vegan/dairy-free alternative
  • 2 oz. Baileys Salted Caramel Irish Cream Liqueur
  • Ice

(for the decoration)

  • Biscoff biscuits
  • Whipped cream


  1. Start by softening your ice cream (leave out of freezer for around 5-10 minutes).
  2. Add your syrup, a shot of coffee, softened ice cream and your milk to your blender. Once all the ingredients have been whisked together, add your Baileys and whisk again.
  3. Add some ice to a glass, pour your milkshake in and top off with whipped cream and a Biscoff biscuit for some fancy decoration.

Chocolate orange shake recipe:

  • 400g orange chocolate
  • 400g chocolate ice cream (vegan if wanted)
  • 150ml whole milk or oat milk for a vegan/dairy-free alternative
  • 2 oz Baileys Orange Truffle Liqueur
  • Ice

 (for decoration)

  • Orange zest
  • Whipped cream


  1. Take ice cream out the freezer 5-10 minutes before again to soften. Then make a start on melting 300g of your chocolate over a pan of boiling water (or heat in microwave for 10 seconds).
  2. Add your melted chocolate, softened ice cream, milk and Baileys into your blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Then heat the extra 100g of chocolate in your pan.
  4. Pour ice and the mixture into a tall glass, add your whipped cream, extra melted chocolate and orange zest on top and enjoy.

Strawberry and Baileys cream dream milkshake recipe:

  • 200g of fresh strawberries
  • 400g strawberry ice cream (vegan if wanted)
  • A teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 150ml whole milk or oat milk for a vegan/dairy-free alternative
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 oz. of Baileys Strawberries and Cream
  • Ice

(For decoration)

  • 1 strawberry
  • Whipped cream


  1. Take your ice cream out the freezer 5-10 minutes before making your shake.
  2. Chop your strawberries and add these, the ice cream, the vanilla extract, milk and Baileys to your blender.
  3. Pour your milkshake in a glass with ice, add the whipped and a strawberry for decoration and there you have it.
