Good news! Disney Plus subscribers will now be able to enjoy Cruella for free.

The live-action film, starring La La Land’s Emma Stone, debuted in cinemas and on Disney’s Premier Access platform earlier this year, but the Queen of Mean officially joins the Disney Plus library this week.

The movie is set in 1970s London and deviates quite a lot from the much-loved 1961 version, but even if the original has a dear place in your heart, we’re sure you’ll love this.

Cruella revolves around the origin of the title character and her partnership with Jasper and Horace. The young and determined Estella survives on the streets with her two thief friends, before meeting fashion icon Baroness von Hellman who helps her discover who she truly is.

Stone stars alongside a pack of sometimes real, sometimes CGI dogs, which director Craig Gillespie says he can’t even tell the difference between.

With Emma Thompson worlds away from Nanny McPhee channelling fashionista Baroness von Hellman, and The Favourite star Stone serving up a wicked portrayal of the infamous dog murderer, you’d be barking mad to miss this.

When will Cruella be available for free?

From today, Disney lovers can enjoy the spin-off prequel to One Hundred and One Dalmatians to their hearts’ content.

Anyone with a regular Disney Plus subscription can stream the crime/comedy right now, which you can sign up for if you haven’t already.

Can I still watch Cruella at the cinema?

If you fancy a trip out, the 134 minute spectacle is still showing in theatres across the UK.

The film hit cinemas in May, and has since grossed $226m (£165m) at the box office.

Following the film’s worldwide success, Disney are supposedly working on a Cruella franchise, however, details of any future releases are still under wraps.

Black Widow is also streaming on the platform free for 91 days, up until October 6.

As for other recent releases, there’s something for everyone.

Only Murders In The Building also hits Disney Plus this month (Picture: Craig Blankenhorn/Hulu)

McCartney 3, 2, 1 stars former Beatle Paul McCartney as he sits down with producer Rick Rubin for an intimate one-on-one conversation, about his lengthy musical career and personal life.

Also hitting the platform this August is Only Murders in the Building. Starring duo Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well as Selena Gomez, the comedy series follows the threesome after a suspected murder in an exclusive Manhattan apartment building. The strangers take it upon themselves to solve the case.

Cruella is streaming on Disney Plus now.
