Forget AI Kurt Cobain: What’s Your Favorite Actual Nirvana Hit?

AI software generated a “new” Nirvana song 27 years after frontman Kurt Cobain’s death, but Billboard wants to know which one of the Seattle rock band’s actual classics is your favorite.

Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come as You Are,” “In Bloom” and “Lithium” were among the top 10 most-played songs of the decade on mainstream rock radio, according to Nielsen Music’s year-end report for 2019. The chorus of the band’s 1992 single “In Bloom” also echoes in Lil Nas X’s multi-platinum single “Panini” 27 years later.

The 2002 song “You Know You’re Right” — the first song on the band’s self-titled greatest hits compilation album and the last song Nirvana recorded before Cobain’s death in 1994 — earned the band its first and only No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. It also topped the Alternative Airplay chart, where Nirvana notched four more No. 1s, including “All Apologies,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “About a Girl” and “Heart-Shaped Box.”

But which Nirvana classic is your all-time favorite? Vote below!
