LL Cool J has laid into Kanye West for urinating on his Grammy Award amid his rant about the music industry, calling out the rapper’s sheer ‘disrespect’.

Kanye, 43, shocked his Twitter followers last month when he shared a video of himself peeing on one of the 21 Grammys he’s won throughout his career.

It was in protest against the music industry and record labels after launching a campaign for artists to own their masters.

Reacting to Kanye’s, ahem, statement, LL told podcast hosts Desus and Mero: ‘With all due respect, I think Kanye should just—maybe he should just piss in a Yeezy or something instead of pissing on a Grammy.

‘Piss in a pair of one of them Yeezys, B. I felt some kind of way about that s**t. I didn’t love that s**t, because I’ve been with the Grammys for five years.’

It’s no surprise that LL, 52, feels passionately about the Grammys as he has won two awards in his lifetime and hosted the ceremony five times.

Admitting to some of the Grammys past mistakes, the Mama Said Knock You Out rapper continued: ‘I don’t understand this constant disrespect.

‘Look, now don’t get me wrong, there have been some foul things that have happened to some artists around the Grammys; they [the Recording Academy] are not without flaw … but piss on one those f***ing space shoes or something … C’mon, man.’

‘What the f**k is he doing?’ LL wondered.

Alongside the unfortunate video, Kanye ranted last month: ‘UNIVERSAL WONT TELL ME WHAT MY MASTERS COST BECAUSE THEY KNOW I CAN AFFORD TO BUY THEM.

‘Everyone please cover me in prayer … I AM ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE ON THE PLANET AND UNIVERSAL WONT TELL ME WHAT MY MASTERS COST BECAUSE THEY KNOW I CAN AFFORD THEM … BLACK MASTERS MATTER.

‘MY CHILDREN WILL OWN MY MASTERS … NOT YOUR CHILDREN … MY CHILDREN … MY CHILDREN … MY CHILDREN.’

After sharing the video, Kanye was temporarily locked out of his Twitter account but returned days later.

He’s since used his platform to send well wishing messages to President Donald Trump who has tested positive for coronavirus, and also Breonna Taylor who was shot and killed by police earlier this year.
