Alesha Dixon has been named as a judge on the upcoming series of Australia’s Got Talent.

The Mis-Teeq singer will join the likes of How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris and Australian artists Kate Ritchie and Shane Jacobson.

Former Australian Idol star Ricki-Lee Coulter will be returning to front the show.

Alesha, who recently opened up about how her parenting was impacted by witnessing domestic violence in her childhood, is a seasoned talent show judge, having appeared on the British’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent, as well as being a guest panelist on X Factor.

‘I’m super excited to be joining the panel at AGT,’ she enthused. ‘I can’t wait to see what talent Australia has to give and I’m really looking forward to working with my fellow judges.’

‘To say I’m a fan of the AGT franchise is an understatement,’ Neil added. ‘I’ve been watching since the very first season.

‘Australia has phenomenal talent across so many disciplines, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join AGT in 2021 to see firsthand what the country’s awesome contestants have to offer.’

Filming for the new series of Australia’s Got Talent will begin at the end of the month, with production due to take place at the Star Event Centre in Sydney from June 30 to July 6.

The last installment of Australia’s Got Talent aired in 2019 and was won by  pole dancer Kristy Sellars.

It had an all-new judging panel of Nicole Scherzinger, Manu Feildel, Lucy Durack and Shane.
