Alison Hammond in hysterics as she forgets name of man she met on Celebs Go Dating

Alison Hammond has awkwardly admitted she has completely forgotten the name of the man she met on Celebs Go Dating, bursting into laughter on This Morning as she confessed her faux pas.

On Friday’s edition of This Morning, Alison and her co-host Dermot O’Leary welcomed The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs onto the show, who has returned to the ITVBe reality show, having first joined as one of the original cast members in 2010.

Alison and Amy became friendly when they both starred on Celebs Go Dating in 2020, also starring alongside celebs including Love Island’s Amy Hart and EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney.

When asked by Dermot how their experiences were on the show, Alison said that she ‘met someone lovely’, although it didn’t transpire into a long-term romance.

However, Alison then professed that she awkwardly has no recollection of his name.

‘What was his name again?’ Alison asked Amy, as she burst into laughter.

Dermot was laughing so hard that he fell backwards on the sofa, clapping his hands as Alison desperately tried to remember his name to no avail.

Amy explained to Dermot that the man in question had strong feelings for Alison, despite their relationship not standing the test of time.

‘And he really fancied you! He really fancied Alison, he was obsessed with Alison,’ Amy said.

Alison expressed how bad she felt, suspecting that the man may be watching This Morning at that very minute.

‘Oh no, he’s going to be watching! What’s his name?’ she repeated, before adding: ‘I’m so sorry.’

In the modern world of fast-paced dating, who can be expected to remember everyone’s names?

Don’t worry Alison – it happens!

Alison has starred on several TV shows throughout her career, having starred on Big Brother almost two decades ago.

She went on to compete on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010, before also taking part in Strictly Come Dancing four years later.

Earlier this year, Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion aired on E4, with stars including Made In Chelsea’s Sophie Hermann and Love Island star Curtis Pritchard signing up in a bid to find love.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
