Former America’s Got Talent contestants Kadan and Brooklyn Rockett have been arrested for refusing to live with their mother amid a custody battle.

The pair famously competed as magical kiddie duo, The Rocketts, during the 2016 series of the reality competition series.

Kadan, 15, and Brooklyn, 13, were reportedly arrested last week in Farmerville, Louisiana for refusing to go with police and return to their mother, according to TMZ.

The Rocketts’ mom and dad divorced in 2010 and their battle for custody has apparently been ongoing since the split.

According to reports, a Missouri judge ordered the brother and sister – who made it to the semifinals in 2016 – to head over to their mother’s home after they have been living with their dad in California for several years.

Local law enforcement sources told TMZ they had paperwork authorizing the transfer of the children, which stemmed from a court order issued in 2019.

In video footage from the arrest, the teens claimed they were afraid of their mom.

An officer then stated: ‘You do not have a choice, this is nothing to argue about. You have to go with us. Let’s go.’

When the AGT magicians refused to comply, the cop began to read them their rights.

Kadan and Brooklyn, who were in Louisiana for their grandma’s funeral at the time of the arrest, were held at the Green Oaks Detention Center in Monroe overnight.

Their father Bart posted after their release: ‘My “babies” are FREE and SAFE!!!! I am not allowed to post any court details at this time because of a gag order but I can tell you they are free and safe!!! (and very very very happy and hungry right now!!!! ).

‘Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the prayers and support!!!! We can never say thanks enough. I have tears in my eyes trying to type this. It appears this lengthy nightmare may just be over.’

The New York Post reports a similar incident took place between the duo and Missouri police in October 2019.
