Below Deck Mediterranean: Lexi Wilson sacked after threatening to ‘smack’ chef Mathew Shea

Below Deck Mediterranean star Lexi Wilson has been sacked from the show, after weeks of arguing with her fellow cast members.

After teasing her exit from the boat-based reality series, the former Miss Bahamas winner was given her marching orders by Captain Sandy Yawn in the latest episode of the current series, which is available to watch on hayu.

In a previous instalment, she had an explosive row with Mathew Shea over an awkward cast dinner, when the chef took aim at her attitude, and claimed that no one on the boat liked her.

Hitting back, she targeted him with an offensive slur and stated that his parents ‘should have aborted him’, before storming away from the table.

As their co-stars tried to calm the situation down, she fumed: ‘If this wasn’t on camera, I would smack your ass’.

Things didn’t get any better when they all returned to the boat, with chief stewardess Katie Flood speaking to Captain Sandy the next morning, explaining that action needed to be taken.

After a series of meetings with other members of the crew, in which she attempted to get to the bottom of exactly what went down, the Captain called Lexi in for a final time.

‘Threatening people, saying the things that you say…,’ she began.

‘Considering how it has permeated throughout the entire boat and some people just can’t get around it, the many outweigh the one.

‘I have to make a hard decision and it’s not easy for me. I have to let you go.’

Embracing her, she added that the sacked stew was ‘a terrific human being,’ but urged her to work on herself.

Taking the news in her stride, she immediately packed her bags, slammed a door in Katie’s face and refused to say goodbye to most of her co-stars, only hugging bosun Malia White on her way out.

This isn’t the first time has Lexi taken aim at her castmates, as she previously blasted Malia and deckhands Mzi Dempers and Lloyd Spencer in the hot tub, after a night out.

Others were forced to intervene when things escalated and appeared to turn physical in the crew area afterwards.

Lexi was forced to apologise for her actions in a team meeting the following day.

We wonder what she’ll make of the scenes in the upcoming reunion…

Below Deck Mediterranean is available to stream on hayu, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday in the UK.
