Below Deck Mediterranean star Hannah Ferrier has taken aim at Captain Sandy Yawn, following their time together on the series.
The pair had a rocky time of it on the Med spin-off, before the chief stewardess was controversially sacked in 2020, during filming for season five.
But it seems that there is still not love lost between the Bravo stars, as Hannah claimed that things were very tense behind the scenes because Captain Sandy disliked her from the get go.
Appearing on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, via DailyMail, the mum-of-one told the hosts: ‘It was probably edited in a way where it looked like we were better than we were.
‘We weren’t friendly at all.’
Hannah led the interior crew from the very first season, with Captain Sandy joining in series two, replacing Captain Mark Howard – with the stewardess alleging that this was the catalyst behind their feud.
Chatting to the hosts, she said that she was judged on her actions in the first series, which is unfair as it’s ‘all edited’.
‘I think it was about 45 seconds from our first introduction, [production] had to stop, and be like, “Sandy, you can’t talk to her like that.” Like straight off the bat,’ she continued.
Tensions between the pair reportedly led to production battling to get them to return to the programme for future seasons.
‘It was every season, sitting down with production, going, “How can we get these two working together where it’s an environment that they won’t kill each other?”‘ Hannah claimed, describing her former boss as a ‘micromanager’.
As well as this, she also accused Captain Sandy of being envious of her social media following.
‘It’s that competitiveness, kind of wanting to be the fan favourite,’ she said, adding that her colleague would ‘look up her Instagram followers’.
‘Somebody overheard her talking about, “Why [does Hannah] have more Instagram followers?” It’s just a little bit…’
Captain Sandy gave Hannah her marching orders just before they were due to set sail for a new charter in season five, with Bugsy Drake taking her place.
Things kicked off when bosun Malia White sent her a photo showing a prescription box of Valium, a CBD pen and a personalised passport holder.
She was asked to grab her belongings and leave the boat just minutes before the next guests arrived onboard.
Speaking about the scenes in an interview with Vanity Fair, the Captain stood by her decision, insisting that she fired her castmate because she’s ‘untrustworthy’.
‘If I would’ve taken Hannah to sea and something catastrophic happened and I needed her to do her job as a crew member, handling someone’s life…and she couldn’t do that because she was high…,’ she said.
‘I fired Hannah because I’m responsible for lives. I’ve been in court before…You hold your hand up, you swear in a court of law, you’re not going to lie.’
‘You know what I think, honestly? I think Hannah self-sabotaged because she did not want to do this,’ she added. ‘She wanted out; she just didn’t know how to leave – that’s my opinion.
‘And guess what: Now she is pregnant, and has everything that she’s wanted. The one thing I know about Hannah, because I listened to her: She wanted kids. She did not want to do this job. She hated the job, but she kept coming back for the money.’
