Big Brother star ‘feels guilty’ for promoting fox eye facelift after botched procedure left him hospitalised

Former Big Brother star Ryan Ruckledge expressed how ‘guilty’ he felt for promoting a free fox eye facelift treatment which left him hospitalised.

The procedure – which is inspired by celebrities like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner – promises to lift the eyebrows and provide a ‘fierce, foxy’ look, which should last between 18 and 24 months.

During Wednesday’s This Morning, Ryan told presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that he was gifted the cosmetic treatment – which involves inserting plastic threads at the side of the eyes – to promote on his social media platforms

Ryan – who appeared in season 17 of the hit reality show – admitted he was swayed to go through with it after someone messaged him on Instagram saying” ‘I’ll give you it for free.’

‘She just messaged me saying I’ll give you a £500 treatment,’ he explained.

‘And I was like, “yeah I’ll have it.”‘

After Ryan – who was also joined by leading facial aesthetic practitioner  Dr Pamela Benito – revealed that the procedure left him with ‘pus coming out of the side of his face,’ he expressed his regret over putting ‘impressionable followers at risk.’

‘That’s why I’m on here to speak about it,’ he said.

‘I feel so guilty that I’ve obviously gone on to social media. I’ve been given this freebie thinking “oh yeah I’ve got this £500 treatment for free, I’ll just put a few tags on Instagram,” and obviously I didn’t think anything of it.

‘If it hadn’t had gone wrong, I probably wouldn’t have thought twice about it, but because I’m now thinking, “I’ve got a younger sister that’s 16, if she was older and seen that.”‘

When Phillip asked if there was any aftercare treatment provided by the clinic, Ryan, 30, revealed that he ‘wasn’t supported.’

Before Ryan appeared on Big Brother, he sensationally claimed X Factor producers forced him to get drunk and act up before he was sent packing from boot camp in 2015.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
