A singleton who took part in Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion claims that she refused to turn down Wayne Lineker on camera when production staff asked her to.
In the latest series which aired last month, Carla Jade quickly gained the attention of club owner Wayne during the mixers event.
When speaking with the 31-year-old, the entrepreneur and brother of Gary Lineker left viewers baffled when he made a ‘creepy’ comment about a knife.
Basically, it was Wayne’s way of telling Carla that he liked her.
Despite making her feelings clear to the 58-year-old, Carla alleged that at the time, someone from the Celebs Go Dating team wanted her to tell Wayne on camera that she didn’t like him.
Lifting the lid on her experience Carla told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think was quite obvious that I didn’t share the same attraction with Wayne, so production said “If you don’t like him you need to tell him” and I thought “That’s a bit mean, it’s quite obvious and he’s fine so can we not?”.
‘They were like “You need to go and tell him” so I refused and said I’m too shy. In a normal situation, I wouldn’t be like “Go away I don’t like you”.’
The ring girl went on to explain that in the end, she wasn’t made to confront Wayne, instead, Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard broke the news to him.
And, it was very awkward.
‘A couple of minutes later they said “Curtis wants a chat with you”,’ Carla continued. ‘And then halfway through that he was like “Do you like Wayne?” and I just said “No I don’t think we are well suited”.
‘He then literally runs, and I don’t realise this until the show had aired, into the bedroom and the little snake tells Wayne.
‘When it came out and it aired I was like “Oh my god that’s why”.’
Since leaving the £30million mansion Carla said she is happy and single. However, Wayne and fellow Celebs Go Dating star Chloe Ferry sparked engagement rumours last month after they posed in a loved-up Instagram snap.
The pair got close during their time on the programme and now Wayne has shared snaps of them together with Chloe rocking a huge ring on her finger, causing much speculation among fans.
Wayne, who is 33 years Chloe’s senior, put his arm around the Geordie Star for the picture, while Chloe showed off the piece of jewellery.
‘She said YES!,’ Wayne wrote, adding: ‘Love you [Chloe]’.
‘Love you,’ she replied.
Speaking about whether the rumours are true, Carla added: ‘I don’t speak to Chloe but I still speak to Wayne.
‘I haven’t heard that it’s not true but Wayne does love a wind up.’
