While the Friends Reunion was the must-see television event of the year, Courteney Cox has confirmed there won’t be another chance to catch the six main stars on screen again.
In 2021, The Friends cast – Courteney, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow – all reunited for the first time on screen in over 17 years.
During Tuesday’s Lorraine, the 57-year-old actress promoted the upcoming horror movie Scream alongside co-star Neve Campbell when showbiz correspondent Ross King asked the star if the special took the heat off demand for a reunion.
‘Oh I didn’t even think about that,’ said Courteney, who played Monica Geller on the hit US sitcom.
‘No one asks anymore. I think they got their fill. I mean, we can’t do another one, we’ll be too old.’
The two-hour documentary became Sky’s most-watched programme across live, recorded, and downloaded viewing in the last two years in the UK.
It also revealed a lot of hidden secrets, one of which included David and Jennifer having romantic feelings for each other behind the scenes.
Maggie Wheeler (Janice), Reese Witherspoon (Jill Green), Tom Selleck (Richard Burke), and James Michael Tyler (Gunther), who died in October 2021, all made an appearance in the show.
The reunion, hosted by James Corden, also featured a number of star-studded guests and super fans including Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, David Beckham, Cara Delevingne, and Justin Bieber.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9:00am on ITV and Friends: The Reunion is available to stream on demand from Sky or NOW TV.
