The actress and comedian only went and brought crumpets to the game – ones with actual holes in.
As the first task of each episode, Daisy and co-stars Mawaan Rizwan, Katherine Parkinson, Johnny Vegas and Richard Herring were told to bring ‘the best thing with holes in it’ to impress Taskmaster Greg Davies.
While Mawaan brought a crocheted bunny (or an attempt at one), and Johnny brought a teabag, Daisy brought a crumpet – which in our opinion, is definitely the best thing.
It seemed to impress Greg too, who bragged that he had his own special way of buttering crumpets – and even had a fancy toaster with a crumpet setting (which we’re going to need a link to, by the way).
But This Country fans couldn’t resist noting the significance of the crunchy treat – as it was a Kerry Mucklowe favourite, until the day that she get some without any holes in.
They were there… the crumpets were just upside down.
Naturally, they shared their love at the little nod to the Cotswolds comedy – and declared her their winner
Daisy and the gang have been iconic this season already on the bonkers game show, with Daisy going the extra mile by creating her own superhero, named Achievement Woman.
She was also seven months pregnant throughout the filming – and thankfully didn’t go into labour on set.
Even Greg and Alex have admitted they were a little frightened about it.
Speaking ahead of the new series, Greg admitted: ‘There was never one occasion when she was belly laughing where I didn’t think: “this could be it.”
‘I’m sure it will show in our faces if you look closely at the footage.’
Taskmaster airs Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
