Dancing on Ice: Faye Brookes and Hamish Gaman are dressing up as Prince William and Kate Middleton on their wedding day

Dancing on Ice contestant Faye Brookes has revealed she and Hamish Gaman will be dressing up as Prince William and Kate Middleton this weekend.

The duo, who have wowed the judges every week with their stunning routines, will be performing as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Sunday’s Valentine’s-themed show.

The former Corrie star will be taking to ice in a replica of Kate’s wedding dress.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on Friday’s show, Faye explained: ‘Dancing On Ice is going to be portraying the greatest love stories on ice and we have been given the honour of Kate and William.’

‘That is an amazing dance story,’ Lorraine replied. ‘What on earth are you going to dance to though? Are you going to dressed in the wedding dress?’

‘My legs, you thought those tights were good, wait until you see me with the veil,’ Hamish joked.

‘We are going to be taking on Kate and William. I am in the full wedding dress and you have got the lovely coat, haven’t you?’ Faye added as she turned to her dance partner.

Lorraine went on to ask Faye about what she makes of the judges’ comments, as she said: ‘They are nit-picking, Faye. They’re being real nit-picky actually if you don’t mind me saying.’

To which she responded: ‘They’re doing their job aren’t they, they have to give us constructive criticism and I want them to. I want to get the very best out of this experience.’

Skating pro Hamish went on to tell Lorraine what Faye was like during their first rehearsals.

He continued: ‘I have seen Faye from day one and I saw her on the ice, she was like a little Bambi, and she has become this incredible swan last week.

‘She has really seen the fruit of her labour and I am beyond proud.’

‘I am exhausted, I am not going to lie,’ Faye added.

‘This is the most difficult challenge I have ever taken on in my whole entire life but that fire in my belly gives me the determination to be better.’

Last weekend, comedian Matt Richardson was the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the show.

Olympian Graham Bell was voted off the week before and musician Myleene Klass was the very first celebrity to leave the competition.

Lorraine airs at 9am on ITV.
