Dancing On Ice’s Faye Brookes ‘flouts ITV rules with sponsored Instagram ads’

Dancing On Ice’s Faye Brookes has reportedly been told off by show bosses after posting sponsored posts on Instagram.

The former Coronation Street star was seen promoting two products – a massage gun and a leisurewear brand – to her 163,000 followers over the past week.

However, the now-deleted photographs are believed to be against the strict rules put in place in her Dancing On Ice contract.

A source told The Sun: ‘No one is telling the celebrities they can’t use their social media or have commercial deals.

‘But what the contracts clearly state is that you need written permission in advance if you are going to use either ITV’s name or the name of the show.’

While it was initially believed this could be a sackable offence, sources tell that no such discussions have taken place.

Faye and Hamish dazzled audiences last weekend (Picture: Rex)

After her wowing audiences with her debut performance last weekend, Faye has now become the firm favourite to win Dancing On Ice 2021.

She is partnered with Hamish Gaman, who found himself clashing with his celeb partner Caprice last year, causing her to eventually quit.

Thankfully, he seems to be getting on with Faye a lot better, but have they done enough to take home the glitterball trophy?

Meanwhile, the show has lost a contestant after Denise Van Outen was forced to pull out of the series after dislocating her shoulder during rehearsals.

While she and partner Matt Evers persevered with the first live show, doctors’ orders means she can no longer compete.

After the announcement yesterday, it was revealed that gymnast Amy Tinkler will be taking her place, and will make her debut this weekend.

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
